Hello, http://www.reaa.ru/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=english_talk
Андрей.

Which one are you looking for? This one was built by Vasily Artemchuk (It was built not in Zhitomir but in Chernigov though):

Wow !! Thanks !!!

that's the one I'm looking for.
I thought that Zhitomir was the designer/builder but it's obviously a village/town.
Are there more pictures available please?

Many thanks !!

Gilbert

Are there more pictures available please?

If I remember correctly this helicopter is described in a book by V.Kondratyev "Самолет своими руками" (Build an airplane yourself) which is available in the Net, say, here: http://rapidshare.com/files/192361903/kondratyev_samolet_svoimi_rukami.djvu

You may also try to search in the Net using author name: Василий Артемчук
Just insert words вертолет артемчук and check results.

Many thanks to all the people who helped me !!!!!
Sadly I cannot type the Russian style lettertype on my computer so I cannot search for more pictures.
BTW,I'm not American,I'm from Belgium.
I like Russian homebuilt style helicopters very much because they are very inventive and no nonsence.
People in the US and Europe cannot build anymore without thousands of $$$ !!!

If someone find more pictures about homebuilt Russian helicopters, you're welcome !!!

Thanks again for the help

Gilbert

Boy... Do you know Ctrl-C -->> Ctrl-V operation? I know of a couple blondies who successeed to use it  🙂 In other words use copy-->past to insert Russian words from my previous post to search. [/quote]

I never claimed to be Einstein ;D
Blondies-it is blond for male and blonde for female
Blondie was a female singer who probably never had to copy/paste Russian text. 😱

Artemchuk is'nt russian, he's ukrainian. And his heli had never been in Russia, maybe in USSR.
You can also search Sverbil (Свербиль), its good flying heli SV-3 (СВ-3) made from parts ftom Ka-26 and ukrainian car "Zaporozhets".
Also in 1985 there was a heli powered with Lada engine Gornyak-4 (Горняк-4).

BTW, Gil, are you far from Oostende? There was an aged guy there, Jos Schepers, who built interesting things (autogires) with rotors and Subaru engines. Didn't heard about him for about 5 years.
